Are you self-employed or do you receive a W-2 from an employer? If you are a W-2 employee then your job-related expenses are not deductible on your 2018 federal return because the tax law changed. Job-related expenses are no longer deductible.
If you are self-employed then your business expenses go on your Schedule C.
