The TurboTax 2020 programs can be used to e-file a federal or state tax return at any time up through October 15, 2021. If the state tax return has a state tax refund it can be filed any time in the next three years without any penalties. If the state tax return has taxes owed you can pay the taxes owed on the state website or mail a check with a payment voucher on or before July 15, 2021.
