Overrides will prevent you from e-filing and will void the TurboTax 100% Accurate Calculation Guarantee.

TurboTax will not allow you to override New York itemized deductions if they are better than the NY standard deduction.

However, since the NY itemized deduction amount is less than federal and you are claiming the federal standard deduction, you can remove deductions to bring you under the itemized deduction floor.

If your only itemized deductions are state income tax withheld, you will have to change your itemized deductions to sales tax.

In Forms go to Tax & Int Wks (Tax and Interest Deduction Worksheet)
Go to line j. Select the middle box (Sales Taxes) to force the sales tax deduction. It looks confusing.
This should be enough to give you the NY standard deduction
