Yes. If you are speaking about 2020 returns being filed this year. California is accepting and processing those returns.
The Franchise Tax Board says it normally takes up to three weeks to receive a refund if your return was e-filed and up to three months for paper returns.
Some tax returns need extra review for accuracy, completeness, and to protect taxpayers from fraud and identity theft. Extra processing time may be necessary.
You'll receive your refund, or a notice from us requesting additional information within:
Individuals
- e-file 1 month
- paper 4 months
