But when you entered your information for your federal return, you would have been asked if you want to prepare your state return. Your answer here would help determine if you have completed and filed your state return.
You can check by logging back into TurboTax. You can see what tax returns you have filed by following the instructions in the link below.
Obtaining a copy of tax returns filed this year
Once you open the PDF file, you can open it to see what returns were prepared.
If you do not see your state return, do the following to prepare it.
- Sign in to TurboTax.
- You should be able to see Your Tax Returns & documents
- Select show here.
- Select 2019
- Select Add a state
This will allow you to add your state return. Once you add your state, follow the prompts to complete your state return.
You will then be able to run a review of your state return and proceed to electronically file your state return.
