I had more than 15 W2s in 2018. TurboTax required me to file my AL state return in paper. AL IRS says there's no such rule. How can we get the TurboTax software fixed?

TurboTax Online was not designed to handle more than 500 transactions.
The TurboTax CD/Download software can handle up to 2,000—2,500 transactions.
Did you receive a rejection code after submitting?

Nice answer to a question that was not asked. Maybe you could offer to send this question about multiple W-2 forms to development to see if it is an enhancement they would want to make.
Usually a limit on the total number of transactions is to prevent fraud and they won't agree to a change.

You did not have W-2's for gambling. You had W-2G's. A W-2G does not get entered in the tax return software in the same spot as a W-2 from a job where you worked.
To enter the W-2G or other documents For your Gambling winnings--Go to Federal>Wages & Income>Less Common Income>Gambling Winnings
You can enter your winnings, and then keep clicking through the interview to enter gambling losses.

Losses are an itemized deduction. If you do not have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction, your losses will have no effect.

@bldiamant Thank you for reaching out to us here and letting us know about your experience.
I've done some internal research & from what I found out was there are no limitations within our program for W-2G's. The request to print and mail your return was most likely due to Alabama e-filing restrictions.
I was unable to find specific information on W-2G limitations on the Alabama website for you, but I recommend using the Alabama website to Find Your Refund.

Dear Critter,
Can you point me to any IRS documentation that backs up your assertion? The tax forms themselves contradict your statement. For instance, the left-hand margin of the Federal 1040 form states that W2Gs must be attached if tax was withheld, and the state forms (I file in two states) require all W2Gs to be attached (there's no caveat for "taxes withheld"). My interpretation of "attached" for electronic filings is that all W2G information must be input into TurboTax. The meaning of "attached" for paper submittals is clear cut, i.e., I have to provide a hardcopy of all W2Gs.
I love your answer and really want it to be true, so please provide some additional data/experience that says I do not need to follow the tax form / Turbotax instructions for W2G submittals.

I understand what you meant completely! I have 50+ to submit. Anyone know if there is a limit cutoff again in 2020 for amount of the W2-G of which you can submit?
