State tax filing
Colorado will tax your income for the part of the year you were a Colorado resident, basically your income for January through May.
You can either go by your last pay stub before you moved, or this calculation:
- In 2019 you worked at the job for 10 months total (March - December).
- Of those 10 months you worked, you lived in CO for 3 months (March - May).
- So the CO percentage is .3 or 30% [3/10]
- Your CO income is the total x .3
