State tax filing
Is part of the problem they didn't get the original return? Is this for 2016? Did you efile the original? See if it was Accepted. You can check the efile status here <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/">https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/ef...>
If it rejected you didn't need to amend. You just needed to fix it and resend it. For a prior year you can call in and support can look up the status.
If the original return never got filed you can delete the amended return and you will be left with a normal return but with the changes you made. So that may be right now. Or you would have to take out the changes and manually put it back to the original state. Do you remember what you changed when you amended?
What about the federal. Did you have to amend federal? Maybe you amended Federal before filing the original state return so state got amended too. Did you mail the original federal and state returns? Maybe state got mailed to the IRS with federal.
Just some ideas.
