State tax filing
Well, I'm not sure I could help much more, since I don't have Alabama tax forms.
My NC tax return, during the NC portion of a nonresident interview, allows a nonresident to mark a W-2 as NOT being NC income...but only someone with AL tax forms could see if there is a way inside that interview.
The only other way I could think of is to go back to the Federal section where the W-2 is entered, and EDIT the W-2 and put a zero into box 16 of that employer's W-2. Certainly, AL may have questions about that, but they might anyhow...and if they do, you'd have to support your claim you were a resident of MS all 2024...thru utility records, rental agreements, Mortgage, local bills, voters registration in MS...whatever you have.
