State tax filing

@Vick89tiff  There was one tax year----2021--- for which you could get the child tax credit even if you did not work.   For 2022 and the years after that, the laws changed back to the old law and you cannot get any child-related refundable credits if you did not earn money from working.    The absolute minimum you could earn and even get a few dollars back for child tax credit is $2500, and you must earn considerably more than $2500 in order to get the full refundable amount of $1700 per child.

If you did not work or have taxable income, is there someone else who can claim you or the child as dependents?
