State tax filing
IF that 1099-G isn't there...then it could be something different.
You started a 2016 file in TX last year in tTX, but didn't finish it.
IF you started a 2017 tax file, and transferred in your 2016 file data from a an unfinished 2016 tax file...that could be your problem...you have a bunch of bogus data that transferred.
1) you really should start a new tax file from scratch...with NO 2016 file transfer. You have a lot of data to enter manually from you outside tax file anyhow.
or
2) You could go your current file, then to "Forms Mode" and delete the Federal "Carryover worksheet". then back to the interview....that will allow you to enter the 1099-G for the MA refund. But you still have to check every area carefully to make sure some bogus information didn't transfer from that unfinished 2016 file.
