If you didn't file and accidentally clicked amend:
- Open your return
- Go to state Taxes and click Edit next to NY state/ select NY state in TurboTax Desktop.
- Continue to the screen Let's Review your Amended return and Select I'll choose what I work on.
- Scroll down to Other Forms and Voluntary Contributions
- Select Update next to Other Forms.
- Select Update next to Change (Amend) a Previously Filed Return
- On the screen Amended Income Tax return, click skip amended.
