State tax filing
Not sure what state you mean----there is no "TP"----but you enter your 2022 state refund received in 2023 IF you itemized deductions (like mortgage interest, property tax, etc) on your 2022 federal return. Look at line 12 of your 2022 Form 1040. Do you see the standard deduction or did you itemize? If you took standard deduction you do not enter the state refund.
2022 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $12,950 (65 or older + $1750)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $12,950 (65 or older + $1750)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $25,900 (65 or older + $1400 per spouse)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $19,400 (65 or older +$1750)
Legally Blind + $1750
