Allocate your wages in the New York City part-year section. TurboTax is showing $0 tax owed because it is not picking up your NYC income, possibly because you have no local NYC wages or withholding on lines 18-20 of your W-2.
- Go to Your City Residency Information
- Select Edit on About You
- Select Part-year resident on New York City Residency Information for You
- Enter dates for your Part-year Residency Period
- Skip Yonkers
- Select Add on "Your Wages Summary"
- On "Wages Information," enter your Employer and Wages Earned
- On "Your New York City Wages" select Allocate this employer by percent
- On "Part-Year Wages," select Earned while a resident
- On "Allocate Wage Income, enter the Resident Percentage
