State tax filing

@W Big Al  Yes - I did get a federal rejection first BUT and the standard state rejection because the Federal was rejected. Got the Federal corrected and refiled. Then SC state and Federal were accepted and approved. Then IN was rejected a second time for:

"SCNTY-018-01 - SCNTY-018-01: Line 1A of the CT-40PNR in Section 2, SchCT40PNR/WorkCountyTaxSection/WorkIncome/Taxpayer1Amt, must not be null and greater than zero if all the following exists on IT-40PNR: A. FormIT40PNR/ReturnFormHeader/PrimaryCounty/ResidentCounty is non-Indiana county code (not 1-92), B. FormIT40PNR/ReturnFormHeader/PrimaryCounty/WorkCounty is an Indiana county code (1-92),and C. FormIT40PNR/SchA/IncomeOrLossSection/GainsLossIncome/StateAmount Indiana business income reported is greater than 0."

But no one at TT can tell me what this actually means and how to correct it. Neither can the Tax office at IN - because EVERYTHING on the form is ZERO. I've asked if I can email or fax or even zoom with IN but that's a no-go for privacy reasons. They told me I could mail it in with the errors and it will get rejected, sent back with suggested correc tions BUT they said that will take months to make happen. I just want my refund.

I spoke with H&R Block and TaxAct but neither will file state only - you have to file federal first then state with them - but my federal will get rejected because I've already filed it with TT and then once it's rejected, it automatically rejects IN state.

It's like a big circle of rejections that can only be corrected with a software correction. I feel like I get on this hamster wheel every day.

But, as it stands right now, I will be spending a 1K of my refund heading to IN to get it corrected unless I can get TT SOFTWARE SUPPORT to get a fix done. Honestly, I keep trying every day and will continue to do so untl it's either fixed or it's the 16th when I have to start driving.
