Form SC8453 is your declaration for electronic filing. The numbers on the form come from your SC-1040.
If you want to make any changes, do so on the SC-1040 and any related forms and schedules.
If you’ve already reported all your dividends, change the amount that is from South Carolina.
- Type dividends in Search (magnifying glass) in the top right
- Click Jump to dividends
- On “Your investments and savings” Edit your dividends
- On New, let’s review your 1099-DIV check your Box 12 amount, then Continue
- On "Do these uncommon situations apply?" select None of these apply, then Continue
- On "Do these uncommon situations apply?" select None of these apply, then Continue
- On “Tell us more about your exempt-interest dividends," tap I earned exempt-interest dividends in more than one state
- Select South Carolina and Multiple States and enter the amount of your non-South Carolina dividends in Multiple States
