You will need to update the state ID number for the form W2 in question. While this number doesn't affect your tax calculations for UT, it does affect e-filing steps.
- In the "Wages and Income" section go back to the "Job W2" topic and
- "Edit" the W2.
- Go down to the state/local area in the form W2 entries.
- Delete/backspace to completely eliminate any stray marks in box 15.
The Utah withholding account number is a 14-character number. The first eleven characters are numeric and the last three are “WTH.” Do not enter hyphens. Example: 12345678901WTH. The letters should be lowercase.
