State tax filing

California does allow you to allocate by resident/nonresident ratio. Use that method if it results in lower tax.

 

California says: "If you changed your residency during 20xx, compute income and deductions using resident rules for the period of the year you were a California resident and nonresident rules for the period of the year you were a nonresident."
