You had to initiate the e-filing of the tax return as explained. If it was e-filed you would have received an email from TurboTax at the time it was transmitted. When the IRS either Accepts or Rejects the tax return you will receive another email from TurboTax. If you do not see a TurboTax email look in your junk or spam folder for your email account.
Or the tax return was not e-filed by you.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
