State tax filing
Thanks for letting us know about your issue with your Charitable Contributions Error. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused.
We appreciate your patience while we looked into your issue. After investigating the issue, we found that this is Not a Product Defect and the Fix has been implemented on 2/17/2022. Please go back in and continue to file your tax return.

This is the email I received this morning. This is IMO not true. I still have not received a Calif update since 2/16/22. So here is what did and I not recommend it for others.
1 Removed the 600 dollar amount from 12b of the federal return.
2. Made sure that there was NO charitable deductions on the federal return. With the standard deduction being way more for 2 people than going the itemized route, this did cause my federal refund to change. It was about $135 lower.
3. The state amount owed stayed the same.
I uploaded again this morning and it was FINALLY ACCEPTED. I will strongly consider going to a tax preparer next year. Having to invent a work around on this issue is something that no one should do. Good luck.
