Social Security in Idaho
I am using TurboTax 2021 Premier on Windows. I moved to Idaho in 2021 and I am preparing my Idaho state tax return. I thought Idaho does not tax Social Security income but my return shows my Social Security as income for Idaho, and not adjusted out on Form 39NR.
I lived in Idaho 11 months in 2021. I entered the amount of Social Security I received in those 11 months in the Idaho state return section for clarifying Idaho Income in the Idaho Amount/Other Income box. This is where my full Social Security income was listed for the Federal Amount/Other Income. Maybe I should enter zero there, but the Learn More instructions just say to list the amount for the state without any other state clarification.
Help please.
