Can I enter w2 dd healthcare expenses on NJ form as "medical expense"?
I work in NYC but live in NJ.
My w2 for NYC lowers my income because of pre-tax payments for our family healthcare premiums. On my w2 I see ~$XXk listed in 12a as 'dd' for healthcare premiums.
However, on my NJ w2 there is no break for this.
When I'm going through my NJ interview in Turbotax I'm asked if I have any medical expenses. The question is: "Do you have any NJ medical insurance premiums included in your NJ wages but NOT in your federal wages on your w2, and NOT deducted on Federal Schedule A?"
I don't see any itemized deductions on my Federal Schedule A. However, I do see the 12a dd $XXk amount listed on my federal w2.
I'm confused by the language in Turbotax. Does this mean I CANT deduct the healthcare premiums? Or, I can?
