Sadly, yes, if you used the Free Edition to prepare your tax return and then did not save it as a pdf or print out a copy for yourself before mid-October 2016. Now you will know that you have to do that. ALWAYS save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and keep a copy of your records, as well as keeping copies of your important tax documents such as your W-2's and any 1099's, 1098T's etc. Your only free option now is to request a transcript from the IRS.
