You'll know if your return was accepted because TurboTax will send you an e-mail letting you know your return was accepted.
Alternatively, you can check the IRS site, Where's My Refund?. If the return shows as "return received", it was accepted.
Once you know the status, as @xmasbaby0 indicates, you can either update the return and re-file, or file an amendment when the 1040X is available (check here: Tax form availability).
