1) For your total income, make sure the rental income you are considering, is just the "profit" after expenses.

 

2)  If #1 was just considering the rental profit as income, then run thru the SSA-1099 entries again.....there is one follow-up question asking if you are a US citizen residing in certain foreign countries.  Make sure you answer NO to that one if you reside in the USA.    Last year a bunch of people blew past that one only noting that they were a US citizen...and didn't read the rest...thus getting it wrong by answering YES...which wrongly resulted in none of their SS being taxed
