After you file

@Lina0283

Did you mistakenly prepare a Form 1040X just to correct a rejected return?  If so, you should not have used "amend" as a way to fix that rejected return.

Did you understand what was said to you regarding "amending?"    If your 2023 e-file was rejected, using or clicking on the word "amend" was not the way to fix the return.  You do not prepare a Form 1040X to just fix a rejected return.    You simply make the correction to the original return and try to e-file it again within the filing period for the return.   If you did not do that by end of October 2024, you cannot e-file it.   It has to be mailed.

A "fixed" original return is not the same as an amended return on a Form 1040X.   If you send in a Form 1040X just for a missing IP PIN, the IRS is going to send the return back to you and ask you for your original return.  They will not process a 1040X if they did not receive an original Form 1040 from you.
