Did you file returns for tax year 2021 and 2022? If the IRS is requiring you to file those returns they will not release any refund for 2024 until that requirement is met. Once you file those returns, if you really do owe, they can take it out of your 2024 refund. What they calculated for 2022 may not be correct because you may have had deductions or credits they didn't apply to your income.
