After you file

If you efile your tax return it is Accepted or Rejected.   If it is Accepted by the IRS then they process it and then approve your refund.  It may take awhile for it to show up on the IRS Where's My Refund page.  Mine never did show up there.  That page can be glitchy.

When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. Check back though your emails and spam/junk folder.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?

Accepted does not mean Approved. And the Turbo Tax refund date is just an estimated date of 21 days. Accepted only means the IRS verified some basic info on it so they know it's really from you. After it is Accepted the IRS processes it then approves it before they send the refund.

After Turbo Tax sends your return they are done with their part. Now it's up to the IRS to process and Approve it. It has nothing to do with Turbo Tax. The IRS doesn't update Turbo Tax with the status of your return. Turbo Tax just gives you an estimated date.
