After you file
This is how the IRS defines "Refund sent."
"Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account..."
If it said going to your bank account, and it goes longer than 5 days, I would first check with the bank, since they can sometimes tell if they refused an electronic deposit. By the way, the IRS will say "bank" even if you selected it to go to a card, since cards use a bank for processing. Did you choose to have the refund go directly to your bank account, or did you perhaps choose the offer for a Credit Karma MoneySpend account?
You can also check your return to see what you chose for your refund deposit and if you entered the correct deposit information without any typographical error You can look at your Form 1040, Lines 35b, c, and d. There are also extra pages called "2024 Federal Tax Return Summary" and "Filing Instructions" that likely have your refund choice information. Here's how to get the extra pages:
NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents, printed copies, and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
Also, there's another possible twist that may not even apply to you, but I mention it for the sake of completeness. You appear to be using Free Edition (at least that is what is shown under your question), so you may not have had any TurboTax fees. But if you DID use a product that had any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of your Federal refund, the funds go first from the IRS to an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest to your bank account (or card.) If you used that method to pay fees, we can tell you how to check on the funds at the level of the third party. If you did NOT have fees paid that way, then this paragraph does NOT apply to you.
