After you file
When you make a mistake with your banking information there are strict protocols that must be followed. Just calling them up and asking them to change it does not work. Sorry----when you enter banking information you should check it several times before you e-file to make sure you have it right. If a refund goes to a closed or wrong account, it has to be sent back either to the IRS or to the third party bank, and then they issue a check and mail it to the address on your Form 1040. Watch your mailbox and open all mail even if it looks like junk mail.
