Did you already e-file? If the return was e-filed and accepted, you have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend your return. That means the only way your parents can file their return now is by mail. They will be blocked from e-filing this year with your SSN on their return. Waiting for you to amend will not help them.
If you have not e-filed, or if your own return was rejected, you can fix this by going to MY INFO to change the way you answered the question that asked if someone else can claim you as a dependent.
