I have had the exact same issue. The people who are mentioning EIC is because no part of the return is released when filed regularly. However, when it pertains to the advance, I am also outraged because when I filed this year the same as last, I was in fact approved by Turbo Tax but then denied by the bank. I do have a message now in Turbo Tax that states I was not approved. I still have not received an email explaining the reason though. This will be my last year as well using Turbo and Credit Karma. The EIC does put a hold on the entire return but it does not hold up the approved advanced portion which is why they only give a portion of a portion LOL. I really think Turbo tax royally screwed all of us this year and need to be held accountable.
