I have this same question, I asked the California office and said to wait for the ITIN or my State return would get rejected. I'm filing married jointly and applied for my husband's ITIN but I have SSN. Where do I need to input my husband's ITIN in the State return? the dummy SSN I used for him in the Federal is not mentioned anywhere in the State return, is just my SSN the one mentioned in the State's return.
