After you file
Generally, it is not necessary but it may be helpful and/or reduce additional work later. If you want/need to file amended tax return(s) and it will effect amounts that carryover, such as depreciation, capital losses, passive losses, etc., then it would be beneficial to amend prior year tax return(s) before completing current year tax return(s). Also, TurboTax usually asks questions about prior year tax return(s) so it would be better if you had the most updated information.
