After you file

@xmasbaby0  First off, I appreciate the response and the links provided. Secondly, I normally file my own taxes resulting in zero errors; funds deposited and available within a week of e-filing! As a full time mom, I was willing to pay for “convenience” this time around to take the load off. When I say I will not be utilizing the turbo tax (so called) expert service again I mean it because at the end of the day funds are still delayed and that’s the issue I’m focusing on here and this is the information people need to know before putting their hard earned money into these type of services.

I get fed/state are separate entities however, based on my experience, federal tax usually comes first.  Not to mention I always look at my full tax return ( every line) so that I know exactly what to expect  (it’s simple math not trigonometry.) The last thing a person wants to do is NOT read his/her returns. We have to be a bit more solution oriented and less presumptive. This was a complete waste of time. Now I have to spend more time dealing with obstacles to retrieve funds owed to me. To anyone reading, please choose a professional accountant you trust or DO YOUR OWN TAXES.
