After you file
"What exactly did I pay turbotax for..."
You paid TurboTax to use "do-it-yourself" tax software to prepare a tax return that you could file with the IRS and the state. Neither the IRS nor the states provide any information to TurboTax---a software company----after you file your tax return and they accept it for processing. TurboTax cannot find out anything for you or speed up the IRS for you. Once you file your tax return, only the IRS (or your state) is in control. You need to follow up with the IRS. This thread contains several suggestions on how to do that.
