If you entered less than you paid in rent, then your credit would be less than you are eligible to receive. If you would like to amend your form to receive the proper credit amount, you can file a new Michigan 1040CR and check the box Amend for amend on the top of the form. You will need to include a copy of your lease agreement with your amended form. If you are only amending this form you will need to mail it to Michigan Department of Treasury, Lansing, MI 48956.
