After you file
In that case you can file the 1040X to correct line 4a and that will take care of any questions on your return. You do not need to correct the 8606 since you completed it with your original return. You can use the information in the updated post and I have added here for your convenience.
You will be able to access and file an amended return now (Form 1040-X).
Be sure to read all the instructions carefully, before you begin, so that TurboTax knows the original numbers and the changed numbers for your amendment.
