After you file
You should recheck your entries. Assuming you had an active duty military pay W2 and your home of record is LA and you were stationed in LA below are the correct entries.
- Federal "Wages & Income"
- "Edit" W2 for military pay
- Verify form information
- On the "Uncommon Situations" page select "Active Military Pay"
- "Continue"/Complete the "Income" interview
- "Prepare State"
- "Edit" LA state interview
- "Update" the "Adjustments" section
- Check LA Home of Record
- Check "I served on Active Duty Orders"
- Do Not check "Served over 120 Days outside of LA"
- Continue the "Adjustments" interview
- Done with LA
- Continue Review
