You may have filed on 1/14 and accepted (for processing) in an early test batch however the IRS did not start processing returns until the 29th which is the date the 21 day count down begins. And if you have any EIC or ACTC on the return those returns will not start processing returns until mid February so filing early really didn't help you "skip the line" at Space Mountain.
