The refund can only go to you. If it goes to someone else the bank will reject it and send it back. Then the IRS will mail you a check the address on your return. Or are you having the fees deducted from your federal refund? Then it goes through the third party bank to take the fees out. Or did you sign up for the Advance? Then you have to use a Credit Karma account.
