After you file

Posting multiple threads about the same issue makes it more difficult for those of us who are trying to help you and confuses other users who are following the posts.   As has already been explained to you, the IRS opens and begins to accept/reject 2023 returns on January 29.

Each year, they  take a very small "test batch" of early e-files and accept them before the official opening date.  But even if your return is in that test batch, you do not get your refund early if you are getting child tax credit or earned income credit.   The IRS will hold your refund until about the end of February due to the PATH act.

You may not like the answers you are getting, but ----you are waiting for the IRS to start rejecting/accepting returns on 1-29 if you were not lucky enough to be in a "test batch".  You will be waiting, along with millions of other early e-filers, for the IRS to accept or reject your return.  The email informing you as to whether your return was accepted or rejected will not come until January 29 or later.
