After you file
Are you asking if you e-filed your new 2023 return? Did you go all the way through the FILE section and click a big orange button that said "Transmit my returns now?" If you did not click that button, you did not e-file.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted.
If you did e-file, now you have to wait and watch your emails. TurboTax is allowing users to e-file, but your return just goes to sit on a server now. It may be in "pending" for a few weeks until later in January when the IRS begins to accept/reject e-files, so you will not hear anything else for a few weeks. Do not try to change anything if you e-filed---a return that is in "pending" cannot be changed.
The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
