The IRS sent you too much? You have to ask them. They should mail you a letter explaining it in a couple weeks. Did you forget to enter estimates you paid? Or an extension payment? Or typed a decimal point in the wrong place? Did you efile or mail your return? If you mailed it the IRS operator might have entered it wrong.
