After you file
@billyboy2 After purchasing the TurboTax software from Sam's Club did you install the software on a personal computer and use the License Code provided with the software during installation? If so, did you complete and file the 2022 tax return using the software you installed on the computer? The only additional charge would have been $25 to e-file a state tax return.
Or did you go to the TurboTax online web-based editions where you had to access the online edition with a User ID and Password? If you did use the online editions instead of the software installed on your personal computer you would have been asked to pay for the TurboTax online account before the tax return could be filed. You would have been asked to pay for the account with a credit/debit card or pay the online account fees with your federal tax refund.
The TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions software and the TurboTax online editions are totally separate programs with separate price points. The License code is not used with the online editions, it can only be used with the TurboTax software installed on a computer.
You will have to contact TurboTax support for this issue. Use the key words Billing Issue when contacting support.
Note - If you did use the TurboTax online web-based editions to file the 2022 tax return there is a good possibility that TurboTax support will not cancel or issue a refund for the online account fees.
