If you had not e-filed or mailed your return yet, then an amendment is not to be done. Amending a return is only done when you have already filed and then need to correct or add additional tax information.

So use the steps here below to cancel the amend, if you are using TurboTax online. Pay close attention to each step.

Then once you have cancelled that amended return, you can get back into your original return using the steps here below:

Log into your TurboTax account and click My TurboTax at the top
You should be on the Tax Timeline now
Scroll down to SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO section
Click Add a state (not really adding one, just a way to get back into return)
And then correct what was needing to be corrected.
