@fiedler Sorry this is happening to you. I am assuming you are using the desktop version of TT.
How did you purchase it and where did you obtain the download?
Where did you search? From just c: or did you choose from this pc? Could they be on a network location or the cloud?
Is it possible you were doing the taxes in the online signed in program and not on the desktop version? I've seen a number of people make that mistake. They sign into tt to download the software then they end up doing it in the online program and thought they were using their download.
Is it possible you reinstalled the software in the docs folder and overwrote them?
There are a number of recovery softwares out there One I have used with success is RECUVA
Try searching *tax*.* under THIS PC to find any pdf or .tax files
You may have other issues on your pc. I use the desktop and have not had any issues with the software myself this year.
Contact TT support which may be difficult if none of the above work out. Note, I do NOT work for TT. Just trying to help.
