After you file

@monkeytax135 The stimulus checks were sent out in 2020 and in 2021.  The first stimulus check was sent out in a hurry so they used 2019 return information to send them out in 2020 even if the person had not yet filed a 2020 return----which explains how your relative got that first $1200.   The second stimulus of $600 was sent in  very late 2020/early 2021, but was based on 2020 information.   The third stimulus of $1400 was sent in 2021 and was based on 2021 information.   If the child of the late relative can claim her as a dependent for 2020 or for 2021, then they can try to enter her as a dependent on returns for those years and seek the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review.
