After you file
Wait and see. An e-filed return is typically processed faster than a mailed return, so they may process the e-file before anyone even opens your envelope. Do not do that again. If the IRS wants additional information from you ---they ask for it by sending you a letter. They do not need to be confused by two returns from the same person. If they do open up the mailed return before they process your e-file, it could cause a delay while they sort out the duplicate returns.
