After you file
You are NOT getting a refund ... you OWE on this year's return because you did not have enough withheld from your paychecks. AND you choose to have the balance due direct debited on 4/18 so you don't need to mail in a payment.
Since you had more than one job last year and if you worked them at the same time (or overlapped for a while) then each job withheld as if it was your ONLY job for the year and the withholding would have been correct if that was the case. However when you work more than one job at a time you often have to have some extra withholding taken out ... the W-4 form you hand into your employer had a 3 page worksheet to help you figure out how much needs to go on line 4C in addition to what the employer is withholding. The new W-4 form is designed to keep you as close to zero on a return as possible to avoid large refunds.
